The IEEE Marie Sklodowska-Curie Award was established in August 2008 and the first award was presented at ICOPS 2011.
The recipient selection is administered by the Technical Field Awards Council of the IEEE Awards Board and 2012's award will be presented to Prof. Gennady Andreevich Mesyats for 'founding the field of nanosecond pulsed power and for seminal contributions to the physics of vacuum breakdown at high power levels' during ICOPS 2012.
